Challenge

Clean Control needed a flexible shrink wrap solution that could seamlessly handle multiple bundle configurations, including combinations of gallon jugs and quart bottles. The system had to operate with high throughput, maintain precise product orientation, and deliver consistently tight, secure shrink film results.

Additionally, the solution needed to integrate with existing upstream conveyors and allow for quick format changes between three distinct packaging formats:

• One gallon jug + one quart bottle

• Two gallon jugs

• Three quart bottles

Solution

Polypack built the CFH-16-24-24CVHL shrink wrap system, optimized to meet Clean Control’s production goals. Key features of this system include:

• Inline and Offset Infeed Conveyors for seamless product delivery

• Screw Drives and Staging Screws to align products for bundling

• Flybar Assembly to push products precisely onto the Lug Conveyor

• Forming Head / Drag Seal Station to enclose products in shrink film

• Micro-perforation Unit for controlled air release

• Continuous Motion Sealing Assemblies to create clean, reliable seals

• Shrink Tunnel with adjustable baffles for controlled heat distribution

Each of these subsystems works in harmony to provide reliable, automated packaging for variable product formats—all while maintaining speed, consistency, and low operator intervention.
