Beverage containers have undergone many changes over the years, but secondary packaging has consistently remained as a significant marketing element. The competition among brands continues as manufacturers design packaging in various sizes, unique geometric shape bottles, easier-to-handle packaging and vivid graphics to gain consumer attention.
Polypack's latest shrink package and patent pending product collation is sure to revolutionize the beverage industry! Round bottles have a tendency to nest during the shrink process, and Polypack's Nested Pack® takes advantage of this and uses offset/staggered rows to create six points of contact between bottles rather than four. These packs are extremely rigid and are stable enough to completely eliminate the need for trays and pads. This amounts to tremendous savings! These new Nested Packs® allow for increased product quantity for a given footprint, and also offer unique and innovative marketing possibilities and package design potential.
Nested Pack Cover Story!
A cover story in Packaging World Magazine reveals how Nested Packs have completely eliminated corrugate for a St. Louis based bottled Water company.
Multipacks can be created using a tray, pads, or nothing at all (unsupported). Many beverage manufacturers and contract packagers are using print registered film to shrink wrap their products because of the graphics capabilities and low cost of shrink film versus corrugate. Polypack offers shrink wrap systems to create retail packs which are then colated together to create a distribution pack. Our shrink bundlers were designed to create multipacks with print registration or clear film at a significantly lower cost than any corrugated packaging type. All of our printed film bundlers, including our Total Closure wrappers, can handle print registered film and clear film.
The CLEARPRINT shrink wrapper multipacks various sizes and shapes of products and can use both clear and printed film. This machine is equipped of a patented system that perforates the film rather than cutting it, and a wrapping arm that is fully adjustable in height for increased stability and reliability.
Polypack's packaging equipment shrink multipacks various products of different sizes and shapes for the beverage industry. Polypack designs shrink wrappers and tray packers that respond to the needs of the beverage companies including, but not limited to breweries, water bottlers, wine distributors, as well as contract packagers.
Polypack offers continuous motion shrink wrappesr that can handle products of various sizes and shapes and can multipack at speeds of 60 bundles a minute in single lane and 120 in dual lane.
For production lines requiring a more compact machine, Polypack offers a line of sleeve wrap machines with a small footprint capable of creating sleeve wrapped bundles at speeds up to 35 bundles/minute.
